Bard College Framework Plan

SCAPE worked with SMWM on the development of the Bard College Framework Plan. The Framework Plan aims to address the demands of the college’s growing population while maintaining the openness, informality, and quintessential picturesque Hudson River landscapes that give the campus its unique character. The Plan responds to increased space requirements for recreation, classrooms, and dormitories. It also clarifies pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular circulation on the campus, providing new, strategically located parking and augmenting and expanding the existing path system. The Plan proposes a framework for growth based upon the campus’ natural topography, integrating sustainability and stormwater management into the overall structure.
