The former Taichung Airport is a vast 2,442,376 m² open space on the northeast corner of Taichung City in Taiwan. SCAPE is working with Stan Allen Architect on a comprehensive plan that includes parkway, bikeway and linear park design, as well as the cultural and institutional programming of the park’s edges. New neighborhood fabrics will integrate stormwater management principles into the streetscape, forming a giant lush park that serves recreational needs as well as stormwater management functions for the zone.
