We are excited to announce that SCAPE’s project, East Harlem Center for Living and Learning, was selected as a Urban Land Institute finalist! Details follow:
The New York chapter of the Urban Land Institute has announced the finalists for its inaugural Awards for Excellence in Development. The finalists represent a collection of industry leaders nominated in six categories: civic space, housing, office, mixed-use, institutional development and redevelopment.
The East Harlem Center for Living and learning has been recognized as a finalist in mixed-use developments. The project team included Jonathan Rose Companies, Perkins Eastman, Harlem RBI,DREAM Charter School and Civic Builders. The East Harlem Center for Living and Learning seamlessly integrates a variety of programs for a wide range of users, including students and faculty of the DREAM Charter School, Harlem RBI staff, residents of the Yomo Tori Apartments and senior living center across the street, as well as visitors at the adjacent Blake Hobbs Park.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on March 10, 2016. Congrats to the team!
