This Thursday, Pippa will speak on the opening panel for the Symposium on Water Resilient Urban and Regional Development at the German Center for Research and Innovation. The panel, “Water: Planning for Today and Tomorrow,” also features Uli Paetzel, CEO at the Emschergenossenschaft (Water Board of Germany), and Catherine Seavitt Nordenson, Director of Planning & Resilience at the City College of New York.
The symposium will focus on the role of water, inviting urban planners, researchers, and practitioners to present examples of design and urban planning solutions, focusing on examples that have been implemented in both the U.S. and the Ruhr Area in Germany.
