Sylvia Barnett

Sylvia Barnett, RLA, is a Senior Associate at SCAPE. She has worked with public clients in New York City since 2013, designing and managing a range of projects including large-scale infrastructure, waterfront parks, historic landscapes, neighborhood playgrounds, urban plazas and streetscapes. Her experience envisioning and building meaningful landscapes is coupled with a passion for equitable access to high quality design at all budgets and scales. She works to establish smart and responsive design solutions on every project, layering multiple benefits to contribute to more resilient communities.

Sylvia holds a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Philosophy from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
