On the cliffs of the Hudson River this Victorian farmhouse is an exercise in landscape renovation and a contemporary remix of the vernacular cottage garden. With dramatic views of the river and over 20 feet of grade change, the site is divided into several tiers and spaces, each providing its own scale and experience. This project was featured in Charlotte Frieze’s “Private Paradise: Contemporary American Gardens.”
